Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple is a Hindu shrine at Kuri Village in the Dolkha District of Nepal. It is situated in Kalinchowk VDC in Dolkha at an altitude of 3,842 m (12,605 ft) from sea level. It’s a part of the Gaurishankar Conservation Area from where two rivers SunKosi and TamaKosi Rivers originated. It is famous for the Temple, panorama views of the Mountains, and snow activities. Most people visit this place in the winter season and it is the best nearby place from Kathmandu to enjoy snowfall.
It is 25-30 min away from TIA with 5 minutes cable car ride from Kuri village to Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple. Goddess Bhagwati is mostly famous among pilgrims for their prayers and desires as well as for the panoramic view of the mountains and hills covered with snow among youngsters. From the temple of Kalinchowk Bhagwati Temple, you can enjoy the stunning view of Mt Gaurishankar, Jugal, Annapurna range, and Mt. Everest. It is also the forest of multi-color Rhododendron; the national flower of Nepal, birds, and animals are also the other highlights of this place.
You will be flying from Tribhuvan International Airport towards the east. After take-off from the helipad, you will see the beautiful sight of Bhaktapur Darbar Square. After about 25-30 minutes of flying, we will be landing near Kuri village because of an insufficient landing spot in Kalinchowk Temple. After arriving you will get 45 minutes of ground time to reach the top of the hill and come down from where the Kalinchowk Bhagwati temple is situated. You can take 5 minutes of a cable car ride or a half-hour trek from Kuri village.
