How to reach Muktinath Temple
You can easily reach Muktinath Temple just in one day by taking a few minutes flight from Pokhara to Jomsom, then a one/half-hour jeep drive up to the Ranipauwa and walking for 20 minutes up to the Temple. If you are going by road, you can avail of a direct local Bus from Kathmandu to Jomsom and take another Jeep or Bus to Muktinath. Also, we can hire a single 4WD jeep from either Pokhara within 2 days or from Kathmandu within 3 days to Muktinath. Through Thorong-La pass and Annapurna circuits or passing a classic Annapurna Trekking Route from Beni which would take around 5/6 days to reach Muktinath Temple. It is an adventurous way to reach Muktinath.
The Deity of Muktinath Temple
The revered shrine features the metal statues of lord Vishnu, Goddess Laxmi, Saraswoti, Janaki, Garuda, Lava-kush, and Sapta rishi. The central statue of lord Vishnu is made of gold and stands tall. The two idols of goddess Laxmi and goddess Earth stands on the left and right of Lord Vishnu.
